This afternoon found Meredith and I, cappuccino's in hand, coming home to Brooklyn from Chelsea after an impromptu viewing of The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I first read the book in my junior year of high school, and can confidently say that in many ways it changed my life. I started crying in the opening credits! Weeping! If you haven't seen it yet, do so. It stays true to the book, while exploring film medium to tell the story in a fresh way.
(One more day of break before it is time to hit the books again).
Maybe it's good to put things in perspective, but sometimes, I think that the only perspective is to really be there. Like Sam said. Because it's okay to feel things. And be who you are about them.

Fall Break is here and with it, a 5 day weekend from class and responsibility of any sort.
My only plans are loosely held, and easy. I'm going to teach myself how to bake a pumpkin pie, wander a museum or two, finish reading Vanity Fair, and take long naps next to the open windows.
I made a new friend this semester. (Momma would be proud)! We spent all afternoon in her gorgeous Wall Street apartment eating goat cheese and blueberries, drinking home-made hot chocolate, and sighing over Moulin Rouge.
It is well with my soul.
Wherever you are, I hope it is well with yours too.
